The Southwestern Series

Evoking the essence of Arizona and the surrounding areas, The Southwestern Series is inspired by the indigenous people of these lands in honoring their art, wisdom, vision and connection with nature to remind us of the oneness and energy that connects all of life. This collection was created in the spirit of the Native Southwestern people of honoring and celebrating the sacred land, water, sky, animals and other elements of nature and to listen to the wisdom that nature shares with us.  As we care for the land it cares for us.

Images of ancient petroglyphs in these artworks, similar to the ones made on cave walls and rocks by indigenous ancestors, each have individual meanings. Medicine Bear is a symbol of strength, wisdom and healing life force. The Deer symbolizes a peaceful energy and is typically the guide of our journey. The Frog represents transformation and the understanding and acceptance of our own inner metamorphosis. Kokopelli symbolizes fertility, joy and merrymaking as he plays his flute and embraces the spirit of music.
